Why we keep it to thirty-two seats

our story · tasting menu · philosophy

With thirty-two seats, the kitchen cooks each course for the whole room at the same moment, so every plate leaves the pass at its best.

L’Étoile was designed around one idea: an evening should feel like it belongs to the people at the table. Thirty-two seats is the number at which our kitchen can serve every guest the same course at the same moment, with nothing waiting under a lamp.

Each evening we cook a blind tasting menu that follows the season. Keeping the room small lets us change a course the morning the market delivers something better, and lets the team talk to each guest about what is on the plate.

The room is lit by candlelight on purpose. It slows the evening down and keeps attention on the food and the company.

Read it, then taste it.
